Features and Condition of Obijime and Obiage Set｜New Obijime and Obiage Set
This obijime and obiage set is recommended for semi-formal coordination.
Both the obijime and obiage are made of 100% silk.
The main color is a strong red (hiiro) with a hint of vermilion (※Refer to Teihon Nihon no Iro Jiten).
The round braided obijime has vermilion and gold alternating, creating a neat and elegant design.
The tassels have a beautiful white and red contrast.
Since the tassels are twisted, they won't fray, allowing for long-term beautiful use.
The obiage has small shibori (tie-dye) dots, allowing the white background to show through, creating a light impression.
The pattern repeats red → shibori → gold tips on the shibori, creating a neat diagonal line.
Please wear this with semi-formal kimono such as houmongi, tsukesage, or iromuji.
It can also be used with a furisode.
Both the obijime and obiage are made of 100% silk.
Although it is a new old stock item, the obiage has wrinkles from storage. Other than that, there are no stains or dirt, making it perfectly usable as a recycled item.
