Hello, this is Yukiwa❄︎.
Please bear with me as I ramble on about something today.
There isn't.
The color.
The perfect color.
Important points to remember when registering a product
There are actually many things that our staff pays attention to when registering products.
- Careful inspection
- If there are any defects, we take photos and provide clear comments so that the extent of the stains or dirt can be accurately conveyed.
(Even so, we may still miss something. If you notice anything after receiving the product, please feel free to contact us.) - Color adjustments are made to ensure that the colors in the photos and the actual product are as close as possible.
And a product description to tell you about the product.
Happy comments and complaints this time
The other day, I received the following comment from a customer:
[The Yukinwa website has detailed color names, which is fun to read and educational.]
I was so happy to see that you read every detail.
Thank you for letting us know your thoughts!
And yes.
That's it.
This time's complaint...
The problem of "absence" of color
Often there is no color.
When it comes to purchasing a kimono, color is a major factor. The color of a kimono can change dramatically depending on the screen brightness settings and the device you are using.
In order to provide you with as accurate a color as possible, we use a book called "The Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary" to find color names.
This book contains detailed information about traditional Japanese colors and is an essential resource for choosing colors.

This is quite difficult...
An episode of searching for colors in a half-width obi
This item
For example, this half-width obi.
(It's reversible and made of polyester. The design is stylish and it's a generous 4m long! It will be featured soon. Look forward to it!)

The back is a denim-like blue-gray.
Compared to the book...
I flipped through the book and found a color that I thought might be close.

Now, when you compare it with the product...

It doesn't fit. It's slightly different...
(The photo is hard to see because of the light, but please use it as a reference.)
Turn to another page and if it's not blue, check for a grayish blue tint.
I go back and forth between colors until I find the one that I think is the best in this book and publish it here.

This time, the surface color is "Agarwood Brown (Tonochairo)".
Such discrepancies are bound to occur.
Still, I want to convey the color
No matter how many times you look through the pages, you just can't find the right color. It's a modern design item, and it doesn't seem to have the "Japanese color" feel.
In that case, I'd like to convey it to you at least a little.
- Cream color with a slight yellow-green tint
- A deep red color that shines through the black.
- Milky cocoa-like color
(If it's written like this, it's almost certain that it's me who registered it.)
We will use every possible means to help you visualize the product as soon as it arrives.
"It wasn't the color I expected."
We work hard every day to make this less likely to happen.
lastly
That being said, even after reading the product description that I wrote with all my heart,
"What is the color of this item?"
If you think so, please don't hesitate to contact us.
