Features and Condition of Obijime/Obiage Set | New Obijime/Obiage Set
This is an obijime and obiage set to be worn with a tomesode (formal kimono).
Both the obijime and obiage are a clean, crisp white, and made of 100% silk.
The obijime has a neat design with diagonal lines throughout.
Gentle colored lines are added at regular intervals, giving it an elegant look.
The obiage has a base of small, hailstone-like dots.
The design features many scattered fans.
Large floral patterns are incorporated using the shibori (tie-dye) technique, and some parts also have golden lines.
The obiage's listed dimensions are slightly smaller because the shibori technique is used throughout.
When actually dressing, it will be lightly stretched and wrapped around the obi pillow, so it should have a little more room.
This set also includes a formal fan (suehiro), essential for formal Japanese attire, and
a kamefusa (turtle tassel) that we highly recommend for mothers of the bride and groom.
The kamefusa is an auspicious motif that adds splendor to celebratory occasions.
Thread it through the obijime and wear it hanging on the left side.
This is a "new old stock" item with no stains or dirt, and is perfectly usable.
