Features and Condition of Obijime and Obiage Sets｜New Obijime and Obiage Sets
This is an obijime and obiage set to be worn with tomesode.
The obijime is a slightly warm white (gofun-iro, or "shell white," ※refer to Teihon Wairo Jiten), with a strong golden yellow, and features flower silhouettes for a very festive impression.
The obiage is a white that is ever so slightly cream-colored.
The textured pattern features a fan design, with seasonal flowers and pine motifs, also incorporating gold thread.
The use of pinkish gold thread gives it a gentle, soft impression.
Both the obijime and obiage are made of 100% silk, and real gold thread is also used.
This set also includes a ceremonial fan (suehiro), essential for formal Japanese attire, and
a kamefusa (turtle tassel), which is highly recommended for the mothers of the bride and groom.
The kamefusa is an auspicious motif that adds splendor to celebratory occasions.
Pass it through the obijime and let it hang down on the left side.
Although it is a new old stock item, the obiage has some wrinkles from storage. Otherwise, there are no stains or dirt, and it is perfectly suitable for use as a recycled item.
