Features and Condition of Obijime/Obiage Sets｜New Obijime/Obiage Sets
This obijime and obiage set is for use with tomesode kimonos.
Both the obijime and obiage are a slightly creamy white (milky white) (refer to "Teihon Wairo Jiten" for color reference) and made of 100% silk.
The obijime features a design that appears like fletching (yahane) due to the way the gold threads are woven in.
It creates a clean, sharp impression.
The obiage uses a technique of fine shibori (tie-dyeing) throughout, adding a subtle touch of elegance.
Although the stated width is shorter than other products, when actually worn, the shibori part can be stretched a little over the obi makura (obi pillow), so we believe it will appear slightly wider.
This set also includes a formal fan (suehiro), essential for formal Japanese attire,
and a Kamefusa charm, which we highly recommend for mothers of the bride and groom.
Kamefusa is an auspicious motif that adds a touch of splendor to celebratory occasions.
Please thread it through the obijime and let it hang on the left side.
Although this is a new-old stock item, the obiage has some wrinkles from storage. Other than that, there are no stains or dirt, making it perfectly usable as a pre-owned item.
