Features and Condition of Obijime/Obiage Set | New Obijime/Obiage Set
This obijime and obiage set is for use with a tomesode kimono.
Both the obijime and obiage are a slightly creamy white (milky white) (refer to Teihon Nihon no Iro Jiten for details), and made of 100% silk.
The obijime features a design that resembles feathered arrows due to the way the gold threads are incorporated.
It gives a clean and sharp impression.
The obiage features a fine shibori technique used throughout, adding a subtle touch of glamour.
Although the listed width is shorter compared to other products, when actually worn, the shibori part will be stretched slightly over the obi-makura, so it should appear a bit wider.
This set also includes a formal fan (suehiro), essential for formal Japanese attire,
and a kamefusa (turtle tassel), which is highly recommended for mothers of the bride and groom.
The kamefusa is an auspicious motif that adds elegance to celebratory occasions.
Attach it to the obijime and let it hang on the left side.
This is a "new old stock" item with no stains or dirt, and is perfectly usable.
