Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for semi-formal coordination.
The dark, subdued green (nibiiro) base, with a hint of white (※refer to Teihon Nihon no Iro Jiten), gives a very calm impression.
The featured patterns are:
On the taiko drum part, there's a diamond shape drawn with arabesque patterns. The contrast between the pinkish flowers in the center and the gold lines around them is beautiful.
The stomach part features a triangular design, which is half of the taiko drum pattern.
The reverse side is plain, so you can enjoy a different atmosphere by changing how you tie it.
It has an open finish and a firm fabric feel with a slight weight.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (plain colored kimono), komon (small pattern kimono), tsumugi (pongee silk kimono), or light tsukesage (kimono with small patterns at the hem and shoulders).
There are several stains on the tesaki (hand-end) and tare-saki (tail-end), and scuff marks on the back of the taiko drum part.
The stains on the tesaki, especially the one at the very end, might be visible even when worn. Please check the photos carefully before purchasing.
Other than that, there are no particular concerns, and it is perfectly wearable as a recycled item.
