Characteristics and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
It features a stylish pattern of abstract motifs, primarily circles, on a deep, subdued purple (shigoku-iro, as per the "Definitive Dictionary of Japanese Colors") ground.
The focal patterns on the taiko drum part and the front belly part are very similar in design.
The taiko drum pattern has colorful stripes with a silver base and a beautiful blue-based gradient.
The front belly part has two patterns with a silver base arranged side by side.
It is tailored in the matsuba style. There are signs of wear around the waist when worn, so widening it might be difficult.
At 380 cm, it is a long Nagoya obi and relatively light.
Please enjoy pairing it with iromuji (solid color kimono), komon (small-patterned kimono), or tsumugi (pongee silk kimono).
There is an added piece of fabric, approximately 30 cm long, at the hand-end.
Additionally, there are creases from being folded in half around the waist as mentioned earlier, a fabric imperfection in the plain inner part, and wearing wrinkles above the taiko drum part.
Although these are not very noticeable, please check the photos before purchasing.
Otherwise, the item is in good overall condition, with no noticeable stains or dirt, and can be fully used as a recycled item.
