Characteristics and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The pattern features charming abstract trees and birds on a soft lemon yellow (pale yellow-ochre) background (refer to "Teihon Wairo Jiten").
It's a "point pattern" obi, with a main floral pattern on one side of the front stomach area, and tree trunks and two small birds depicted on the other side, allowing you to enjoy a different atmosphere by changing how you wrap it.
The line of the tree trunk continues all the way to the tare-saki (trailing end), so it would be nice to align the pattern beautifully.
There is also a signature approximately 5cm from the tare-saki.
It's tailored in the Nagoya style, with a moderate crispness yet soft texture.
Please enjoy it with iromuji, komon, or tsumugi kimonos.
This item still has its basting threads attached.
There are small stains on the lining, around the otaiko pattern, but these areas are not visible when worn.
Otherwise, the item is in generally good condition, with no noticeable stains or dirt, and is perfectly usable as a recycled item.
The overall photograph provides the closest representation of the color, but it may vary slightly depending on your device.
