Characteristics and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
It features a chic design in a dark grayish-blue color resembling denim (namakabe-iro, or "wet wall color," according to the "Teihon Wa no Iro Jiten" color dictionary), with a round pattern of vegetables and plants and a mizuhiki-like pattern dyed using the katazome method.
With a limited color palette, it presents a calm impression.
It would be fun to play with colors using accessories like obijime and obiage.
The pattern covers six areas, and it is a Nagoya-style finish.
Made of Tsumugi fabric, the core is relatively soft.
Furthermore, it is made longer than typical Nagoya obis.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid color kimono), komon (small patterned kimono), tsumugi (pongee kimono), etc.
There are some fold marks from storage from the tesaki (hand-end) to just before the taiko (drum knot) pattern, but other than that, there are no noticeable stains or dirt, making it a perfectly usable item as a recycled product.
The colors are closest to those in the overall photo, but may vary slightly depending on your device.
