Nagoya Obi Features and Condition | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The design features a cream-colored ground adorned with many flowers.
The trailing end is a deep reddish-brown (shuan-iro, or "crimson" in "Wairo Jiten" – "Dictionary of Japanese Colors"), and the flowers are dyed primarily in this color, with touches of light brown, muted purple, and deep mustard yellow, giving it a very sophisticated impression.
The pattern extends fully across the obi (zenttsu) and it is tailored in the Nagoya style.
It has a soft texture but isn't flimsy, making it easy to handle.
Although it's slightly longer than a typical Nagoya obi, the all-over pattern means that even petite customers won't have trouble with the pattern not appearing correctly on the front stomach area.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid-colored kimono), komon (small-patterned kimono), tsumugi (pongee silk kimono), etc.
There are some slight wrinkles on the ends, but overall it is in good condition.
No noticeable stains or dirt are present, making it perfectly usable as a recycled item.
