Nagoya Obi Features and Condition | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The base color is a deep, muted yellowish-green (velvet green) (※refer to the definitive Japanese color dictionary). A solid green obi like this is quite rare, and I'm sure many of you have been looking for one.
The pattern features large butterfly silhouettes.
It has a point pattern, with many small butterflies surrounding a large one on the taiko portion.
The front belly portion has different designs depending on how it's tied, so you can enjoy two patterns with one obi.
It's tailored in the Nagoya style, and the obi core is thin and soft, giving it a smooth and supple feel.
It might be a little challenging for kimono dressing beginners to handle.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid-colored kimonos), komon (small-patterned kimonos), or tsumugi (pongee kimonos).
While there are many storage wrinkles throughout, otherwise the overall condition is good, and it's a perfectly usable item as a recycled product.
