Characteristics and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The ground color is a bright cream, but the initial impression is a dark blue (Berlin blue) (ref. Teihon Wairo Jiten).
It's an all-over patterned item with peony-like flowers as the main motif, and bellflowers and wisteria-like flowers densely packed in the background.
Deep blues and greens are used abundantly, but with touches of red and yellow-green, creating a design that is both subdued and lively.
The pattern extends throughout the entire length, and it's tailored in the Nagoya style.
The fabric has a pleasant crispness and appears relatively easy to handle.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (plain colored kimono), komon (small patterned kimono), tsumugi (pongee silk kimono), etc.
This item is in good overall condition, with no visible stains or dirt, and can be fully enjoyed as a recycled product.
