Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used/Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for semi-formal coordinates.
It is a designer piece with a signature below the taiko pattern.
This impressive item features large vermilion peonies blooming on a deep purplish-black ground (shikokushoku), close to black (referencing "Standard Dictionary of Japanese Colors").
The pattern on the front abdominal part also features large peonies, matching the taiko drum.
It uses plenty of gold, making for a very glamorous design.
Please wear it with iromuji or komon.
It is tailored in the Nagoya style and has a moderate stiffness.
Since the pattern is very large, it might even be easier for petite customers to try.
There are several wrinkles from the te-saki to the front abdominal area and on the back of the taiko.
Other than that, there are no noticeable stains or dirt, and it is perfectly usable as a recycled item.
However, it is an item with a slightly noticeable odor. The odor feels stronger than other items, more like dust than mothballs, so those sensitive to scents should be cautious.
