Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This woven Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
On a dark burnt brown (hiwada-iro, per "The Dictionary of Japanese Colors") background woven with black and brown threads, a landscape featuring mountains, trees, and buildings is depicted.
The patterns are primarily in a light brown, giving it a calm yet light impression.
The pattern covers six areas (rokutsu), and the tailoring method is similar to Nagoya tailoring.
This is because the triangular part above the otaiko (drum knot) that is typically sewn in general Nagoya tailoring is not sewn on this item.
However, since the crease is firmly set, you can use it without any problems by tying it in the same way you would a fukuro obi.
Please enjoy coordinating it with kimonos such as iromuji or komon.
There are a few wrinkles on the outer fabric, but otherwise, the overall condition is good, and it is perfectly usable as a recycled item.
The overall photograph provides the closest representation of the colors, but they may vary slightly depending on your device.
