Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
It features a clean design with repeating red, beige, green, and black stripes creating a subtle gradation.
Overall, the red and black hues have a somewhat strong impression.
The pattern extends fully across the obi (zenttsu) and the tailoring is similar to a "matsuba-jitate" (pine needle finish).
The sewn part at the end (tesaki) is shorter than a regular matsuba-jitate.
There should be no problem tying it as you would a fukuro obi, but please check the photos before purchasing.
Enjoy coordinating it with kimonos such as iromuji, komon, and tsumugi.
This Nagoya obi has a soft, supple texture.
Overall, it is in good condition and can be used perfectly as a recycled item.
However, it has a very slight dusty smell, so those sensitive to scents should be aware.
