Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This Nagoya obi is recommended for casual occasions.
The base color is a pinkish brown (a slightly lighter shade of suou-iro, or madder red) that makes you wonder whether to choose pink or brown (refer to the revised edition of "Waka no Iro Jiten" for reference).
It features a partial pattern, with butterflies, paulownia, cherry blossoms, other plant motifs, and a round pine needle crest dyed onto the taiko (drum) part.
On the belly part, two designs are dyed: a round pine needle crest and a design resembling hollyhock.
The bright and pop color scheme of Kyo-Bingata is very stylish!
Please enjoy coordinating it with solid-colored kimonos, komon, and tsumugi.
This is a chirimen obi, with a soft and supple feel.
It may not be recommended for those who prefer a crisp-looking obi.
There are storage wrinkles on the outer fabric from the te-saki (hand end) to just before the mae-bara (front belly), and also wrinkles from tying on the part just before the taiko pattern.
