Features and Condition of the Hanhaba Obi | New Hanhaba Obi
This is a hanhaba obi made of polyester, recommended for casual coordination.
Both sides of this item feature full-width patterns, allowing it to be used as a reversible obi.
One side is a soft, bright grayish-green (kinu-nezuiro) (refer to Teihon Wa no Iroziten for color reference), with a very gentle design.
The pattern, featuring abstract botanical motifs that appear like flowers or acorns, floats softly in white between vertical lines.
The opposite side is a subdued matcha green (baikōcha-iro) (refer to Teihon Wa no Iroziten for color reference). This calm yellowish-green side features the same abstract floral pattern as the other side.
The same pattern is used on both sides, creating a unified design.
It would also look lovely when tied in decorative knots that show both sides.
It seems easy to pair with both classic patterns and modern kimonos.
Since the material is polyester, you can use it without too much worry about getting it dirty, such as during summer festivals or casual meals.
As it's new, it makes a great gift too!
