This is a Kyoto Bingata long-sleeved kimono by Kuriyama Kobo, a leading expert in Kyoto Bingata.
Kuriyama Studio was established in 1952. The founder, Yoshisaburo Kuriyama, was fascinated by Okinawa's traditional stencil dyeing technique, "Bingata," and created the "Wasome Bingata" dyeing studio, which combined Bingata with Kyoto's representative dyeing technique, "Kyoto Yuzen."
The works of Kuriyama Studio are called "Kuriyama Bingata."
Please wear this not only for your coming-of-age ceremony, but also for weddings of relatives and friends.
This furisode is dyed with auspicious patterns on a deep bluish-purple (Kikyonando-iro) background (see the Definitive Japanese Color Dictionary).
This comes with a half collar.
The most appropriate combination would probably be pairing it with a gorgeous gold obi.
If you use pastel colors for your accessories, such as pink or light blue, you will create a gentle atmosphere, while if you combine them with bold colors such as red, green, or black, you will create a cool-looking outfit.
Of course, you can also enjoy coordinating it with a white or silver obi, or a slightly more unique obi with a checkered pattern.
There are stains on the right sleeve and back, and numerous wrinkles in the lining, but it is still in good condition and can be enjoyed as a reused item.
