Features and Condition of Nagoya Obi | Used and Recycled Nagoya Obi
This is a Shioze Nagoya obi, recommended for semi-formal coordinates.
It's a unique obi with an abstract floral pattern dyed on a slightly grayish white (shiratsuchi-iro, or "white clay color," as referenced in "The Dictionary of Japanese Colors") background.
While the color scheme is calm and mature, the round, plump flowers are charming and lovely.
This obi features a point pattern, with the same floral design dyed on the front abdomen area as on the taiko part.
Made of Shioze fabric, it has a moderate crispness and feels slightly heavy.
The open-ended tailoring is also a noteworthy point, especially for Shioze obi which tend to wrinkle easily.
The width can be adjusted to fit your height, making it recommended for taller individuals as well.
Please coordinate it with iromuji (solid-colored kimono), komon (small-patterned kimono), tsumugi (pongee silk kimono), or light tsukesage (formal kimono with continuous patterns).
There are some tying wrinkles, but otherwise, the overall condition is good, and it is perfectly wearable as a recycled item.
